Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. The majority of her early years listening to music from the past, boleros from the past, traditional ranchero or romantic tunes, as well older classical songs. Ana loves Tangos. She also loves operas, and every form of dramatic performance. After singing with her mom and sister, she began more intense singing lessons at the age of 16, under the direction by renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. Music lessons continued throughout the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Then, she enrolled in The School of Sacred Music of Toluca. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was an active member of numerous opera ensembles as well as chamber groups. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Her passion for performing, music, and the arts keeps her engaged in local projects both as an artist and instructor. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana thanks Inland Master Chorale members for their permission to play classic Latin American song.
