MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His international success has seen him break into mainstream Latin music. His 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu was the recipient of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Favorite Song in the year 2017. He released his debut long-player ADN with the Sony-owned company based in Medellin, La Industria Inc. This album peaked at eight in the Top Latin Albums charts. Vaina Loca, which was one of the Top Five smash hit in 2010, also featured Noriel alongside Ozuna. In 2020, he collaborated with Noriel for Mala Influencia and dropped the album Dopamina in the following year. In 2021 he recorded a duet for TINI's hit song Maldita Foto. The singer appeared with him in 2023 for 2000, featuring the hit single La Bachata. Turizo was brought up within a musical family, as both his mother & older brother are professional musicians. In interviews, he referred to the importance of music as a requirement. As a child, he studied the guitar and saxophone. At first, he wanted to become Veterinarian, however after his brother Julian was convinced to let him attend singing lessons from a Cuban singer, he changed goals for his future career.
